Saudi Aramco Announces CP Prices for March 2025, Showing a Decline Across LPG Products
March 1, 2025
Saudi Aramco has released its Contract Prices (CP) for March 2025, reflecting a downward trend across all LPG product categories compared to February 2025.
- Propane (C3) is priced at $615.00 per metric ton, marking a $20.00 decrease from the previous month's price of $635.00.
- Butane (C4) has also dropped to $605.00 per metric ton, down $20.00 from February’s $625.00.
- The LPG mixture (C3 35% : C4 65%) now stands at $608.50 per metric ton, experiencing a similar $20.00 decline from last month’s $628.50.
This decline in prices is likely influenced by multiple factors, including easing seasonal demand, increased supply availability, and shifts in global market trends. The downward movement comes after February’s propane price surge, which was driven by heightened winter demand and supply constraints. However, as the market transitions into spring, the pressure on LPG prices appears to be easing.
These price adjustments are critical for the energy sector, as Saudi Aramco’s CP benchmarks serve as a pricing reference for LPG transactions across Asia and other regions. Market participants will closely monitor developments in the coming months to anticipate future pricing trends.
